Agen will host one of the continent's largest beekeeping events from October 1st to 4th, 2026: the European Beekeeping Congress, organized by Abeille Gasconne and the French National Beekeeping Union (UNAF).
Following the success of the 2012 edition, this event returns to Lot-et-Garonne to bring together all stakeholders in the beekeeping sector around a major issue: the preservation of pollinators and biodiversity.
A must-attend event for the beekeeping industry
This congress provides a unique forum for exchange, bringing together:
• Amateur and professional beekeepers
• Researchers and scientists
• Institutions and policymakers
• Companies in the sector (equipment, cosmetics, packaging, etc.)
• Associations, NGOs, and the general public
For four days, the Agen Agora exhibition center will host around one hundred exhibitors, conferences by international experts, testimonials, technical workshops, demonstrations of innovative equipment, and activities open to the public.
Major themes of the 2026 edition
The conferences, roundtables, and workshops will address, in particular:
• Pollination, a pillar of agriculture and ecological balance
• Bee health: varroa mites, Asian hornets, new predators, biodiversity
• Beekeeping innovations: technologies, sustainable practices, urban beekeeping
• The economics and value of hive products
• European public policies and their impact on the sector
