Maurice Mary Photo Competition

Article 1

As part of the European Beekeeping Congress, organized by UNAF and Abeille Gasconne, which will take place in Agen on October 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2026, a photo competition is being organized.

Article 2

The general theme is the bee.

• Theme A is pollination.

• Theme B is the Asian hornet, Vespa velutina.

Article 3

The competition is open to all photographers, amateur or professional, residing in Europe and registered for the congress. Participation is free.

Each participant may submit a maximum of 2 photos or 2 videos per theme.

Article 4

Participants guarantee that they hold the copyright to the photos or videos submitted and authorize the presentation of their works at the congress, or their possible use for illustration in the magazine Abeilles & Fleurs.

Article 5

Photos submitted to the competition must be unframed prints, in color or black and white, in 24 x 30 cm format. The use of AI is not permitted.

Each photo must include the following on the back:

• Author's name, surname, and address.

• The theme corresponding to photo A or B.

• A short caption and description of the photo.

Videos submitted on a USB drive must not exceed 5 minutes and must be accompanied by a document indicating:

• Author's name, surname, and address.

• The theme corresponding to the video: A or B.

• A short caption and description of the video.

Photos or videos submitted to the competition will remain in the UNAF archives.

Article 6

The deadline for receiving photos is August 25, 2026.

Article 7

The jury, composed of 6 people, will award 2 prizes per theme, which will be presented during the gala evening on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

• The first two prizes will each receive a €300 gift certificate;
• the second two prizes will each receive a €200 gift certificate;
• and the two third prizes will each receive a €100 gift certificate. All winners will receive a basket filled with products from Southwest France. Prizes will only be awarded to candidates present at the gala evening.
